South Worcestershire Citizen's Advice Bureau

South Worcestershire Citizen's Advice Bureau is in place to support residents in need with free confidential advice online, over the phone and in person. Also advising on customer rights on the customer helpline, supporting witnesses in courts through the witness service and giving pension guidance to people aged over 50.

In 2022-23 Citizens Advice had 42.7 million visits to their website, 457,000 People helped face to face, 1.8 million people using their phone service, 895,000 helped by email or webchat and 79,000 witnesses supported through the witness service. In total 2.66 million people were helped to find a way forward with one-to-one advice.

Citizen's Advice also offers a social prescribing service designed to help people with a range of problems that are not medical but have a direct impact on their sense of wellbeing. Usually, this course will take 6 months of working with clients to establish what is important to you and start to making an action plan.

  • Social Isolation and Loneliness
  • General Wellbeing and Help with Health Behaviours
  • Feeling More Connected and Helping in Your Community

Citizen's Advice can link you with people, knowledge and activities that can help you to feel better. They might recommend groups and activities within the community, or local and national organisations who can help. They take a holistic approach, considering practical problems, lifestyle, and wellbeing as interconnected issues that each impact on the other.
